“Saaaaaaaaaammyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!” Sammy woke with a start. It sounded like his mother calling him. How could that be? All a sudden Sammy looked around the room. He wasn’t at Sharklee’s place or sleeping on Sharklee’s couch--he was at home in his own room. Then it hit him! Staying with Sharklee for the summer had all been a dream. Sammy was so relieved, he jumped up right away.

“Yes Mom, what is it?” Sammy called out.

“Time to get up, Sammy. We have to decide what we are packing for our holiday.” Sammy’s Mom explained.

“Whatever you say, Mom,” said Sammy happily and he gave his mother a big hug and kiss. Sammy’s Mom looked surprised, but very pleased! As they were making their list, Sammy suddenly got a thought,

“Mom, could we ask someone to go along on our family holiday with us?”

“Of course, Dear, who would you like to invite?” Sammy’s Mother asked.

“I want to invite Sharklee.” Sammy said.

“Sure, but I didn’t even realize you were friends.” his mother replied.

“Well, I just was thinking, he seems all alone.” Sammy mused. “He’s never gone to family camp.”
