The GOLD page is for Heaven where God lives. God made Heaven and everything in the Universe. He made you too, and He loves you very much. "For God so loved the world... " ( John 3:16a). This means that God loves every person - that includes you.
God wants you to be a part of His family and be with Him in Heaven someday. God is perfect. He has never thought or said or done anything wrong. That is why His home, Heaven, is perfect, too.
But one thing that can never be in Heaven. That is sin.
The DARK page is for sin. Sin is anything we think, say or do which breaks God's law. Some sins are stealing, lying, and saying bad or mean words. "For all have sinned... (Romans 3:23a). We are born with a desire to sin. God said sin must be punished and that punishment is to be seperated from God forever. God knew there was nothing you could do to get rid of your sin. He knew you could not be good enough to please Him. So, He made a way for your sin to be forgiven.
The RED page stands for God's love. God sent His only Son, the Lord Jesus, to this World. He was born as a baby, grew up and never done anything wrong because He is God. But one day, wicked men nailed Him to a cross and He bled and died. "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." (Hebrews 9:22b). The Lord Jesus took the punishment of death that you and I deserved for our sins. All our sin was put on the sinless Son of God.
"Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scripture..." (1 Corinthian 15:3,4)
God has a wonderful plan so that you and I don't have to be punished for our sin.
The CLEAN page tells us that the Lord Jesus wants to forgive your sins and make you His child. "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12) To receive Him means to admit you have sinned and believe that only the Lord Jesus can forgive you. When you do this, God promises to make you His child.
You can do that right now. You can pray in your own words or use this prayer "Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I have done wrong things. I believe You died for me. Right now, I receive You as my Saviour and ask You to forgive my sins. Thank you. Amen."
Now you are God's child! You can be sure because the Bible says so. Put your own name in John 1:12 "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.". Now you may put your name in it, "To (your name) who received Him, to (your name) who believed in His name, He gave the right to become a child of God."
When you become God's child, He wants you to grow.
That is what the GREEN page is about.
Here are some ways to grow:
Ask God to give you His power and strength to do what is right. But when you sin, admit your sin to God and ask Him to help you not to do it again. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:19)
