Reading My Bible

Today read Genesis 3:8-20

God came to the garden to walk in the cool of the day. It must have been very beautiful and Adam and Eve were there to talk to. In verse 8 we read that after Adam and Eve disobeyed God they hid when they heard God coming. God called out to Adam, “where are you?” Adam came told God what had happened. Then God told Adam and Eve and Satan about the consequences for what they had done.

God promised the serpent that he would have to spend the rest of his days on his belly and that one day God would send someone to defeat Satan.

God promised the woman that having children would cause her pain. God promised Adam that he would have to work hard in the fields to make enough food to eat and that weeds would grow wild now. God told Adam and Eve that they had been made from dust and one day they would become dust again. That means that they would die.
