What is God’s plan about sin?

Read John 3:15-21

In Genesis God told Satan that one day He would send someone to defeat him. God planned to send His own Son, the Lord Jesus to defeat Satan.

The Lord Jesus would be perfect, without any sin but He would bleed and die to take the consequences of our sin. In John 1:29 the Bible says this about the Lord Jesus, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

In our verses for today you read John 3:16. It says that if you believe (that the Lord Jesus came to earth and bled and died for you) that you will not perish (die) but have everlasting life (live forever).

Would you like to tell God that you believe in Him today? You can talk to God at anytime. You can tell Him that you believe in the Lord Jesus His Son and ask Him to take away your sin.

Talking to God

Dear God, thank you for sending the Lord Jesus to bleed and die for my sins. Please take away all of my sin and help me to live for you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
