Reading My Bible

Read John 1:1-14 today.

Verses 1 & 2 say, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” John is talking about the Lord Jesus in these verses. The Lord Jesus is God and so He always existed and was right there at creation. It is in the New Testament where we read about the Lord Jesus coming to earth as a person and about His life on the earth.

Once my little girl asked me, “Mommy, how can the Lord Jesus be everywhere?” I said, “Well Becky, how can you be at this end of the bed, with your head on your pillow and at that end of the bed, with your toes peeking out of the blankets?” Becky knew the answer, “Because I am so big.” Wow! The Lord Jesus is God and He is so big and so powerful that He can be everywhere, all of the time.
