The Lord Jesus Promises to Come Again
Do you always keep your promises?
Reading My Bible
Read John 14:1-6
It is always very sad when someone that we love dies. It is very sad to know that you will never ever see someone again. The Lord Jesus’ friends felt that way when Jesus said that He was going to die and go away. Before the Lord Jesus died He had supper with some of His friends, the disciples. The Lord Jesus told the disciples not to be sad, He said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
The Lord Jesus knew that He was going to die and come back to life again. He was planning to go to heaven and get a place ready for us to live when we are finished living on this earth. The best part is that He promises to come back one day and take those who believe in Him to heaven with Him. Draw a picture of heaven for your notebook.
